This one has me a little puzzled. Pwr Door Lock switches on the interior of my '95 Skylark have stopped working. Both fuses appear ok, and the safety interlock circuit still seems to work. When I put the car in gear, all the doors lock. Ground wires and battery terminals are clean as of about 500 miles ago.

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance.

IIRC, there are 3 fuses concerning the door locks. Check for the CTSY, DR UNLK, and DR LK. When a penny accidently got caught in my ciggarette lighter and blew the CTSy fuse, it caused my door lock switches to become inop.

If that doesn't work, have you pulled the switches and tried ones from another skylark?

The CTSY fuse did look a little strange, but it seemed ok. I'll have to check it more closely at it tomorrow since it looked strange to begin with. It didn't have any obvious burn marks, it was just the pattern of the fusable link inside.

Thanks for the suggestion. The penney in the cigarette lighter has happened to me before as well, but I forgot about it.

Changing out switches would be too time consuming for me at the moment, so I'm hoping it will be something easier, but that's a good suggestion just the same, I'll keep it in mind.

Looking at the Service manual for 1995 N-Body, it is about as easy to switch them as it is on the GA... Pop out the panel with a screwdriver, and disconnect the connector. It takes me 5 seconds to get mine off.

Those symptoms point to a blown "CTSY" fuse... something I've done several times when coins short the lighter socket. Triple check that fuse first.

I'm thinking the fuse is the culprit as well. I haven't had a chance to check it yet.

My time demands are immense, so even though replacing a switch or two might physically not take much time, it would be too time consuming for me because of the time it would take me to find some replacement switches at a boneyard. I work multiple jobs, have a family, and maintain our fleet of 4 vehicles as time allows. I can barely work in making it to a parts store. Not suggesting it wasn't a good idea, but it's not practical for me unless absolutely required.
