hey all, i have been kinda lurking around here gathering information about things. I am currently working on fixing small rust spots on my car. Now i sprayed it and it is a little bit thicker than the old paint and is raised a little bit. Is there anything i can do, short of respraying to feather it. Like maybe take a super high grit sand paper or rubbing compound and feather it in? I dont really car that much just wanted to get the rust off. So if not its not a huge deal just didnt know.
thanks

Cancer=rust.

If you have a spot of it better take care of it before it becomes the whole side.

I'd say sand it down a bit, get some clear on them, then compund it out. Coupe had some good advice in the touch-up thread earlier.

Wet sand it. Id say go with at least 1500-2000 grit paper. Thats should do the trick. Just don't over sand.
