here's a little project we've been working on to convert your m45 blower to an m62. The stock pulley from an ss cobalt blower should put about 10psi into the motor. Drop a smaller pulley on, and it'll get really fun.

ah man - if I wasnt afraid of grenading another motor and my second used izusu trans. - Id be all over this. :(
Maybe someday Ill come upon an 00-01 GASE with the better trans? I only wish >.>
Great job on that though, I read through it all and checked all the pictures, amazing work and even more amazing that there is clearance with a bit of room to spare regarding both the alternator and the power steering pump!

Yeah I know
did you use the base off his prototype from the red car?
You actually got it running, or are you just test fitting it?
btw, i'm sorry about a couple weeks ago when I was on the phone with ya... the fuggin thing died, and by the time I got home it was my bed time as I had to go to work the next day. I'll hit ya up this weekend though and we'll chat for a few minutes as I got a couple idea questions for ya

it's cool man. I figured as much since you said your phone was dying.
We used the prototype manifold for some design cues, but everything needed to be moved around, because the proto blower had a different idler pulley that moved the alternator, so when we tried to fit the red mani on my car, it hit the alt.
We just test fitted it. I'm going back out there next weekend prolly. Get everything wrapped up.
but yea gus gimme a buzz. Glad to help.

$850 for a base manifold alone? No thanks.

Page 16, Mike said it himself....
the manifold alone will be 850.
for the alchy injection bung in the plenum add 25
for direct port nitrous bungs add 100 (includes all 4)
for the intercooler setup add 150
or 1100 for the whole 9 yards.
Cliff notes...
$850 for just the manifold, still need:
-the GM SC kit for all the brackets, etc
-an Eaton M62 blower
-tuning, etc
Sorry, but you could fab up one hell of a custom turbo setup for that much.
Oh, and BTW Gus, that proto blower Len was trying to sell you was an M45 after all.

Yea, you could get one sick ass tubular manifold for a turbo app for about that much.

What injectors are you running with the m62?

If he is using the GM SC kit reflash, he should be using those injectors (which are 310cc IIRC). Any others would require retuning, which may be recommended anyway if boosting above the levels the M45 can provide.

Did he say he was using the stock pulley? I believe he said he was or was going to be working with hptuners. Im sure I would retune since the m62 can see high boost than the m45
