Tint % on sunroof

Hey, does anybody know the tint percentage on the sunroof on a 02 GAGT. I am going to get my windows tinted soon, and I kind of want to try to match the front windows with the sunroof. Hopefully its not too dark. Doesn't look too dark. Oh and another question does anybody know the tint % on a window for a stock GAGT. I dont they are even tinted are they?

ahh techincally not true ;) the glass itself is tinted. probably like 90-95%

lol Your scalp would burnt to a crisp, the side windows are tinted more than that from the factory.

Dang, 25-30%. How dark do you think someone should go for the back windows on a black GAGT. I am thinking about 15 or 10%. Would that be about right. I dont want them complety dark but dark enough so that it looks good on the car. Maybe I will just have to go about 50% on the front ones because the limit here is 70%. Dont want to get in too much trouble.

its 70 in RI too but I decided if im gonna break the law im going to do a darker tint since ill get pulled over either way.

ask anyone. just casue the glass 'looks' clear, doesnt mean it is. just call up your local tint shop and ask, theya re very informative

5% all the way around, 30% on entire windshield..... and sometimes i wish i had darker!

as for the sunroof, why have it tinted (more)... you got the little slider door to block light if you need too.

Actually, the little black printed text on the window says is 77% from the factory.

He doesn't want to tint the sunroof more Brandon, he wants to make his front windows that same tint percentage. Shouldn't a good tint place have a tool to measure existing tint percentage? If anything, find a nice cop and have him test the percentage for you (before you have any illegal tint, and hide anything incriminating).

When I say right or left, this is from stand outside the car looking in.


Driver side window, lower right corner. Its in other places as well on different windows. Like the windshield is on the lower left, and the rear is on the lower left or right. There are a couple numbers there, one is for tint, others are for different types of glass, lamination, etc...

geesh Brandon, how in the world can you see at night! wow. I like your car, really feeling the ram air hood, thats what i want to do to mine. Oh and hey your pontiac emblem is blacked out.. did you get that from Customgrandam.com or what did you do. I am thinking about just going 50% on the front and 15% back windows and 15% to the AS1 line. I dont want anything too light or too dark. I dont the cops chasing after me all the time either. Hey, Brandon do you have the reverse smoked light covers and the brake light covers on your car from customgrandam. I am thinkng about getting those but not sure. I dnt want to go too overboard with the whole blackness. After the tint I think I may be done with the outside for now.

If i were you i would keep the tint percentage even. For example 20% on the back window and 20% on the sides. I think it looks too tacky on 4 door vechiles when you go with 50% on the the front two doors and 5% on the back two. I says go for 30% all around besides the front windsheild.
