So, my bf started painting my interior pieces.. And everything was going awesome.. They were perfectly glossy, blemish free.. So we put Krylon Clear Coat on.. And it dried gray???
I didn't use Krylon paint, I used Rustoleum for plastics.. is that why?

same thing happened to me except i used kyrlon fusion and a different brand clear i think it has to do with either the plastic paint and or using a diff company clear coat

I've never heard of that happening. Looks like Krylon doesn't dry crystal clear over Rustoleum. I've used the Krylon clear over polished metal before but never over any other paint.
I used Dupli-color and auto body clear coat on my interior pieces.

I just painted my interior pieces silver and they looked awsome. I then cleared them with kryplon and 2 of the pieces dulled ut like they kinda went grey. It is not that noticable because they were silver, but it did not happen to all the pieces. I dont think its the fact that it is a different paint then clear, i think it might be the krylon. It seems that if you ovepsray it or spray it to long it gets cloudy.

I'm not familiar with the Krylon Fusion paints, however I do know if you mix different brands you run the risk of less than perfect results. This is why when professional painters spray they do not mix products from other brands and follow manufactures suggestions.

its because you have the piece to close to a dell computer, they ruin everything.

Not to get off topic but I have had Dell PCs for 10 years now with nothing to complain about.
It could also be you didn't let the base coat dry long enough and the vapors is what clouded the clear. That is most likely the culprit.

Avoid differing maker's paints. They forumulate them differently at times, and can cause issues like that. It isn't a marketing reason they put that notice on their cans!
