View Full Version : Approximate RPM's for respective speeds

I've got a 93 SE with the 3300 V6. Unfortunately it doesn't have a tach, and i have no idea where redline is. Does anyone else have a 93 auto V6 or and know approximately what speed the car will redline in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears?

The auto tran. won't let you get close to redline AFAIK.

no but it will have you shift at 5500 RPM

At about what speed will it hit 5500 in first? I've never really ventured above 45 or so....

should shift from first to second at about 45-55 mph im not completely sure tho

wow, that's screamin (compared to what i usally do)...what about from second to third?

Thanks GAguy, you've been a wonderful help. i guess i was a little afraid i was abusing my engine by taking it up to 45, but i guess it's not too bad. Maybe i should just invest in a 50 dollar tach or something, then i'd know for myself:)
