Umm, I have you tried using some brackets ? They make several types to "hold it in place" . they will of course require you to screw them into the floor and screw them into box. If nothing else go to wal-mart \ lowes and get the " L " brackets with holes in them screw one on each side and that will hold it in place.
OR get a custom built box.

You won't "Ruin" your car by adding the brackets to hold it to the floor. Just make sure you put enough sealant to prevent rust, and you should be fine.

Yup. I recommend the really short kind... think 3M makes it. Get a long sheet of it, the kind with adhesive on the back. Cut it up, stick 2 squares together back-to-back. 4-6 of these are enough to hold a box from sliding around.

Both. You should make a piece of velcro that is doublesided, both hard type. You wedge that in between the sub box carpet and the trunk carpet, so that it anchors to both.

i've never turned down a car cuz it had a screw hole in it...but another idea too to hold it in place and make your trunk look a lil cleaner is to use a board like 1/4 to 1/2'' thick piece of wood or w/e and put it b/t or well around where you want your box to sit and basically you're making the floor raised up but at the same time you're pretty much keeping that box in that one spot...also you must carpet it to, best if you use the same carpet as your box carpet and then your trunk flows nicely and makes your box look like it came mounted with the car...if you do it right
plus you can get even more crafty and cover up empty space or dead space where sound can get trapped and make it so it contours your trunk and flow the sound around where you want it :)

I used bungie cords, and haven't had a problem yet, very simple to install too. :D
