I think the best way to do this would be to have taken pics before during and after and then post 'em up all at once, posting nothing but rusty pics and good intentions is kinda pointless. Best of luck with the project cause it looks like you have a bit of a job on your hands. Are you replacing that section with new metal or just cleaning it up and using a repair kit to fill it in?

i am just filling it in im only trying to keep the car for another year or so. Here are the pics. I was rushed so i wasnt able to smooth it out perfectly and i didnt want exposed metal out there without anything on it

Looks alright, but it would've been better to go the route that Big Joe went. Of course, that means completely cutting the rusted part out, shaping a piece of metal to fit, and then welding it in.

Looks like it'll be fun once it keeps rusting. To remove it you would've really had to have removed anywhere the paint has bubbled and maybe a little bit around that border. Covering it up looks alright, but the next owner probably won't like it too much once it spreads.

the bubbles arnt from the paint. It is the bondo i didnt feel like screwing around with sanding anymore. I got all the rust out and its good for now

I was talking about the slight bubbling and pitting in the before pictures. Did you fully remove the rusted sheet metal from the car? Surface rust isn't quite on the surface on these.

yea those before pictures was before i actually started tearing off the metal because it was all rusted behind it. I took off ALL the rust

Unless you sandblasted the hell out it, there's probably going to be enough left to keep it going.

Rust is a cancer, its hard to get rid of it.

The only way to get rid of rust is to replace the metal otherwise its coming back.

I think all of us hate rust.

The only time I don't hate rust is when I'm using it for the Goldschmidt process.

Yes, I am a pyro
