Door speakers

Okay so i have a 5.25 compent set (alpine Type R's) for the doors of my 2003 and was woundering if the grill that comes with the speaker can be fitted on the outside of the door pannel, now with the grill its 5.25 and the factory grill on are cars is 5.25 also woundering if anyone else has done this????????? thanks Matt

You can do it, but you have to cut the panel.
