So... All the "hello's" "hi's" "howdy's" and what have you looked almost all the same. So I figured I'd change it, and see if it got you to read it... ;]~

Anyways. I guess thats the point, why we actually read these posts. Because you would like to fix/change your Grand Am. =]

Having said that. I think I broke my car! I mean... Howdy!!

This is me... 27, moving to IL, 2005 Grand Am... Nothing special. Yet... ;D My wife... 26, moving to IL... Kia Sorento (Mommies car....) Couple of kids, dog, fish, computer. The usual. Anyways, back to the good!

Finally got a chance to say hi, and look forward to learning!!! I just had one quick question about a policy that I wanted to inquire about, but not sure how to really go about "asking" it. As there really isn't a sub forum really for that topic... TIA! =]

Oh, and you don't have an LE, it's either an SE or GT, so I think you mean SE :)

My parents live in DeKalb, but my family is all spread out from Batavia, to Rockford, north to Madison and back to Chicago... LoL! I think that the fam and I are moving to either north Chicago (Waukegan area) to southern Milwaukee. *shrug* LoL!

And... Funny story, LE, SE... Its a 2005, and the insurance companies are VERY confused, hence my confusion. It doesn't say SE or GT anywhere I have. So I always assumed that I had the LE, didn't wanna get greedy. ;]~

The question was about the "racing section". How you can't post questions and what not about racing. It just seemed that its almost "illegal" and asking questions is bad ju-ju. I was just wondering about the "why". I've no aspirations to race really. But... Who doesn't wanna go a lil faster and more efficiently! LoL!

Welcome!

GM removed the badging from the cars partway through the 2002 model year. There was no Grand Am LE produced since 1991, so it's pretty safe to say that if it's not a GT that you have an '05 Grand Am SE, which would be a previous Fleet vehicle (Company car, rental car, etc)

As for questions about racing, it is permitted, provided it is within our special subscription Racing section. Access is free, however. :) Here's a little more information for you:

Due to numerous complaints and continual flames stemming from within the Racing Section, admission to the GAOC Racing Section will now be by subscription only. It is FREE but to gain access, you must send an email to racing@gaownersclub.com with your name and USER ID. There may be a day or so delay but your request will be processed as quickly as possible!!

Since members now have to subscribe to the Racing Section, by entering you are fully aware of the fact moderation will be limited and will only be used to make sure discussions adhere to basic GAOC content rules. Member complaints initiated from conversations within this Section will not be addressed, meaning if you have a problem with what you read inside, handle it yourself or more simply request for your subscription to this Section to be removed. Remember, STREET RACING IS ILLEGAL and as a result, the GAOC does not support such activities. We provide this Section solely for the enjoyment of its members and take absolutely no responsibility for its contents. All racing stories are to be posted within this section only and will not be tolerated to filter out in to other areas of the GAOC!! Remember, this Section is meant to be enjoyed and not to provoke arguments. In other words and to be blunt, KEEP THE BS TO A MINIMUM!!

BTW, you can certainly ask questions on improving your car's performance in our modifications sections. It's the head-to-head racing posts that we have issues with.

Enjoy the forums!

Ah... So thats why I got the car for so much lower then I would'a thought!!

And I almost started another thread inside this one. So I will take it to the appropriate forum.. ;]~

Yeah, I read the email your name and S/N. I was just curious as to why... But that answered it! (Even after reading the newbie sections, I still missed that. LoL!)

Either way, thanks for the quick answer, all the 'ello's... Gotta get some help! ;]~

So yeah, work and trying to remember my car and what all is going on, might not be the best idea. Prolly should just wait till I get home. *shrug*

Reason I say this... Is I've got a 2004. Not 5. My wife's got the 2005, and I've got the 2004.

Having said that... lol!
