Hello,
Is it easy to replace the top hose on a 99 GAGT? I have a cut in it and it is overheating.
Thanks....

Top hose? Do you mean the one that goes from the bottom of the rad to the t-stat housing? If so, yes, it's pretty easy. Just remove that hose and put the new one on. However, you'll want to drain the rad first, since otherwise removing that bottom connection will net you the same except the coolant will go all over your driveway/garage, LOL. You might have a bit of a hard time getting the bottom connection off, but it shouldn't be too hard.

What engine??
I *think* the '99 had both the 4-cyl and the V6 available in the 'GT' trim.
Your car is overheating.
GA's have many running-hot issues. The V6 engines have the most problems.
How 'hot' is overheating, and under what conditions?
A cut in a radiator hose will NOT cause overheating, or even running hot.
Unless the cut is leaking; in which case it is the loss of pressure/loss of coolant that causes the hot running.
At 8 years old, mebbe 100k miles, your cooling system needs major service if it wasn't previously attended-to.
In particular, drain the old coolant and replace with new 50-50 mix, and the other radiator hose (passenger side, the 'Y-hose') and the heater hoses will prolly soon fail.
Hope this helps prevent the cooling system disasters that others have had,
-Rick

The 99+ GT only had the 3400. Had to get the SE if you wanted a good motor. :D
