okay my climate control to me seems to be acting a little funky.maybe its normal but this is my first summer with the ga. when i have the a/c on the air doesnt blow out of the vents at a high(except the middle vent has a lil higher pressure) speed.on 3.. so if i go to 4 it blows out a little faster but it loses all coldness.
second question is .. when i have the a/c on any number. i hear a noise like a bearing in something is shot, right around where all the serpentine pullys are more towards the bottom. any help is appreciated thanks

god i cant tell if what i typed makes any sense lol...sry:lol:

so if i go to 4 it blows out a little faster but it loses all coldness. On the 3rd fan speed, you should be getting a bunch of moving air.
Something maybe messed up with your ductwork.

Turn the AC 'off' and try the fan on the 'Vent' position.
The air flow should be weak at #1 and increasing thru #4; there IS a bit of a jump from 3 to 4.
Now try it with AC 'on'; should be just about the same velocities.

Now try it on the 'Recirculate' setting (this closes the outside fresh-air inlet).
The flow thru the vents should be much stronger.

Do your fan speeds 1 and 2 work??

In any case, do a 'search' here for 'blower motor resistro', lots of discussion about how the fan works and is controlled.
Some of it is even worthwhile

When i have the a/c on any number, i hear a noise like a bearing in something is shot, right around where all the serpentine pulleys are more towards the bottom. That's where the compressor is located on your engine, at the bottom front of the engine, passenger (pulley) side of the car.

I think your compressor, at 8-yrs/100k miles, might be shot.

But it might just be low on refrigerant (r134a, instead of old-fashioned 'freon').
The refrigerant also carries the oil that lubricates the internal bearings.

When the refrigerant level gets low, the system can't cool very much.
Mebbe enough to cool the slow-moving air on fan speed 3, but not enough to make a difference for the greater volume of air at fan speed 4.

When the level get VERY low, the system will shut itself off and prevent the compressor clutch from engaging, as a way to protect itself.

I would check the newspaper and find a 'Father's Day Special' for AC service, mebbe $29.95 + cost of refrigerant added (and they also tack on a sh!tty 'enviro disposal fee' :banghead: ).

god i cant tell if what i typed makes any sense lol...sry:lol: We get that a lot from folks from Buffalo, we don't hold that against them.

:D :D

Prolly just a lingering after-effect of Love Canal

Hope this helps,

I was born in Buffalo, so I'm forever allowed to make whatever jokes I want.
That's the only benefit of being from Buffalo.
