car PC

After alot of thought, after a couple checks im going to upgrade to 6.5's and better 6x9's. but after that my next project will be a carputer, and i am a well certified IT and i know that this will take some planning before i can get it to work. Building one for the car is a new realm for me so if anyone has any links or sites or tips i would just like to get a knowledge base of experience along with my knowledge base of Google search. So post any links/tips you got to help me plan along. I know theres not a whole lot concerning carputers on this site so as i go along im going to document everything and make a walkthrough if anyone wants to do the same without as much thinking.

Goals for my carputer:
Hook my sound system up to it
GPS
7" or so touch screen to replace my headunit.
Internet*
Ability to watch DVD's on it (not actual dvd's but .avi's that i have downloaded, this wont be a problem)
Lot of music
FM Radio

*I have unlimited access to the internet on my phone plan, so i can buy a card to put in the carputer to give me access to the internet anywhere cingular gets a signal.
