I know they make a jet module for the 3100/3400 GM cars. The thing is that it says it will work on the 96+ GA's, but I have a 95 GA with the 3100, does anyone know whether the jet module would still work on my car or not?

well that sux, I guess my only alternative is a reprogram which means that I'll be without a car for g-d knows how long.

you don't have to be without a car for so long. you could always go to the junk yard and pick up a cheap one to use while your's is being reprogrammed. (just a suggestion)

Just keep in mind that the junkyard box will need to be "flashed" to your powertrain by the dealer before it'll work properly.

Don't be so quick to jump to that conclusion. If his car was built in the second half of that model year, like mine was, he might have OBDII like me. ;) You'd have to check the computer though to find out.

Actually an easier way to tell is looking at the DLC (Diagnostic Link Connector) located just below the steering column. If it has 12 pins on it, it is OBD 1. If it has 16pins, it is OBD 2.

If you go to a junk yard to get one, why not send it in to get it flashed. That way you can still drive your car while the other one is getting upgraded.

My car was built August 17 1994, so I guess that would make it OBD I.

How do you find out what date your car was built, I would love to know how to find out on mine...

My dad bought the car brand new in September 1994 and it came with a certificate saying when it was compleated.

Don't forget, people, that there was a bastard setup for awhile called OBD 1.5 for a period of time between 94 and 96 that nobody can do anything with.
