Good work. You did a really nice job of fethering the Bondo. That was always the hardest part for me. I can't wait to see the finished product.:)

If you have to spray more primer, don't tape like you did, even if you sand the ridge away it can still show up when you spray the color and clear coats. you should mask off so the entire panel you are working on is exposed.

I tried it not masked and it was getting all over the place so I should just mask off the entire fender and door?

yea, you don't want to run a tape line through any area you will be spraying color or clear.

ok thanks man luckily I'm not done priming yet so I'll take your advice I'm going to put another 2-3 layers then sand it down with some 400 grit, then it should be ready for paint

If you are doing it by hand with 400 do it wet, other wise when its painted you will see the sand scratches, i would recomend using 500 grit wet if by hand or 320 by DA. also when you go to sand get a can of cheap black spray paint and splatter the area you primered with it, any areas that remain black while sanding are low spots.

I agree. Thats why there are no masked areas on my bed.

You could also try to back tape it.
Lay paper over the area you are working ona nd tape the edge, now pull the paper back and tape it back so it's rolled back away from your work area. This way you mask off surrounding areas with a softer 'edge' when you spray.
