Im painting my calipers right now. Question, should I paint my drums as well? Im a little unsure of painting them because they ARE drums, not disc brake calipers. Ive seen a few people paint their drums but still not sure on the look.

the ONLY color you should EVER paint your drums is BLACK... if you do any other color... then you might as well put some honda decals on the car... :) love you too ryan hehe

I repaint my drums black every year when I put my summer wheels on. Clean off the rust with a wire brush and spray away. I use regular Krylon gloss black.

... that is an opinion bud ;) ... I had my drums painted red and thought they looked quite nice ... as far as being 'rice' or 'better off on a Honda', the practice of painting drums was around long before the foreign market decided to do it ;)

but would blue be too much? Thats my worry. The blue on the calipers is good but what about the drums??
Red is fine if your car is red, flows well.

Do it blue, if you dont like it then repaint it silver or black.

Its safe to paint the drums...my opinion drums and calipers should only ever be painted black unless you have the time to keep them clean all the time.

I agree with this as I can attest to the red callipers (I have discs on the front and back now) do take a little bit of work to keep clean but since I don't drive my car a whole bunch anyway, it is cool for me :)

... exactly ... as long as the callipers and drums are the same, paint them whatever color makes you happy :)

Im going to do a Photoshop on the drums so I can see how much blue is going to be showing.
I do have a white blue theme on in the inside, maybe I should carry it out to the exterior, also have blue under the hood as well.

Looks good, how about a shot of the side of the car so we can see both front and rear at once?

They look good, Ryan, and I'm sure it looks better with the calipers and drums the same color rather than blue up front and black on the back. That would just look funky to me. I, too, would like to see a full side shot, though. :D

Really nice ryan - do you have any nics or chips on teh rims yet????
VanishingImage

I'll get a full side shot tomorrow after I get off my morning shift at work.
My rims have very little if not no nics or scratches on them! Its been a good 2 years. Im VERY good when it comes to making sure I have clearence between curbs and my rims. That and doing my own tire rotations.
Im a little scared though. Im not working at the dealership anymore so I can't change my tires myself anymore, will have to rely on a tire shop to do it now:(

I used regular paint on my calipers and drums for a couple of years. No problems.

true that!! lol
I spent a good 15 min on each drum with my 1/4 MAC angle die grinder with a steel bristle brush getting the rust off. Need to buy some new ones, probably would help out with stopping better too,lol
