ok my friend had an amp he wasnt using and is letting me use it for now the onyl problem i see is that the ground and remote screw terminals seem to have melted together. there was a plastic divider dividing the 2 terminals and it seems to have melted or been broke out. I am wondering if it is ok to still use the amp. will anything happen if the ground and the remote touch or are touched through the metal screws?

thanks

the remote turn on probably still gets grounded eventually. if im correct the remote turn on will probably go directly to the ground and never get to the amp because it takes the shortest path. or it may detect the electricity anyway and work just fine. the worst thing that can happen is a big ole fire going from your amp all the way through your cars interior into your headunit, burning out the amp and the headunit and alot of carpet, plus a terrible smell thats hard to get out and alot of smoke. I would try it, but be ready to pull the cable out if it starts to melt.
