After seeing the painted interior of some peoples cars on here, I decided I want to take the time and hopefully paint all the different parts that I'm about to show you, the problem is that I have no idea how I would take these parts off. If anybody knows how to please msg me or post on here.

i know the vents just pop out, pull on them with a little force and they just come right out, as for your dash look for screw/clips chances are it will be kind of complicated but im not sure cuz i have an 04. the hanger peices just screw out like you said, really easy. Your controll panel in your door will pop out if you use a small screw driver and gently pop it out. You will have to disconnect the buttons i belive but once again im not 100% sure on that
Hope this helps

For the piece around the shifter i think u have to take off the knob first. Pull up on the side by the e-brake. Then remove the wire that goes to the gear indicator and take off the gear indicator box.

Ive never taken the top compartment off, but the two screws by the windshield prob hold it in.

I'm not sure about the door compartment. Less time i had the door panel off, it looked like there were a couple bolts holding it to the door panel.

Search around, theres prob other threads on here that could answer your questions more specifically.

You can do anodised purple with DupliColor Metalcast... Only with Metalcast it's a two stage paint. You have to paint everything metallic silver first and then use the anodised effect colour coat afterwards. I did my car with Metalcast blue, but it does come in purple as well.

Most of those things are easy to get out/paint but the pocket in the headliner is another story. I never bothered with that because I think you have to take out the entire headliner to get it out.

Vents are easy enough, I would not recommend just pulling on them though. Just use a wire coat hanger, extended but leave the hook part, and then hook one of the clips inside there and gently tug. This will release one of the clips and let you pull it out easily.

Shroud around the wheel is quite easy as well; just undo the screws at the bottom (3 torx type screws) and then separate the top and the bottom. The top will come right off. The bottom, if you have tilt steering, you're supposed to remove the tilt steering lever (which was downright impossible on my car, so I've never actually removed the bottom piece entirely on my car). The tilt lever is supposed to essentially unscrew (service manual says to wrap a towel around the lever and then use a pliers or similar) but that never worked for me--it's as if it's welded in there LOL. Well not welded but they definitely used some strong threadlocker...

Before I continue to type anymore, lol, I think if you search you'll find the information needed to remove the rest of the stuff you're trying to get off. Most of it is quite easy to remove.

so now that i painted the door trim WHITE, I can not get it back in, ive tried everything. The 2 peices that make up the door panel are seriously the 2 hardest things to get back in...anybody have any techniques cause im stumped.

put them back in the same way you took them out.. and btw when painting the vents take your time they are going to be one of the hardest things on the car to paint and will have runs if you do not take your time on them.. also watch out for scuffing and finger prints if you do not allow them to dry long enough.. i had made the mistake in wanting to see what they looked like and finger printed one of them... had to pull it back out and re shoot it.. i myself have a paint gun and access to a paint booth and supplies so i just used every thing there to do the hard parts... sot them with a dry coat of primer and then went to town on painthing them...

when painting any part of your cars plastic make sure you clean it very well if not you may get fisheye.. that is where the oils from your hands or other cleaners has got on the plastic.. and the paint will not aheare to it... clean all your parts with hot soapy water and then lighty hit them with something that is rough( ie. 320 grid sandpaper, brissle pad etc. )

hope this helps
