Hey sorry I made a new topic... the old one was 6 months old, and got pretty far off topic. =P
Ok so my question is:
Do you put the "Night Shade" INSIDE the tail light, or on the OUTSIDE? If you do put it inside.... how do you get the back of the tail light popped off?

Clear coat goes on last, or after every coat of Night Shade?

Apply the clear coat last. I did 3 coats on mine.

Alright thanks a lot I appreciate it!
One more question. Do you just wipe the Night Shade on with a rag, or wha? LOL... sorry I keep bugging, I'm just curious.

Have you ever spray painted anything before?
Here is the run down.
Remove tail lights.
Clean with mild dish soap and water.
Make sure they are complete clean and dry before spraying.
Spray a light, but even coat of Nite Shades first.
Give it about 5 mintues to get tacky, then apply a second coat, followed by a third. The more coats the darker it gets, but three should be fine.
Do not spray Nite Shades on too heavy. It's thinner than most paints so it will run easy. Plus it will cloud up if to heavy. Many times allowing it to dry for a longer time will let the cloudiness go away. Other times it needs to be sanded out.
Once it's all dry spray it with high temp clear coat.

Oh yeah, I've spray painted before... I've never heard of Night Shade though. I didn't know if it was a spray or like a tube or anything, HAHA.
Well thanks for the info! I guess all I have left to do is find the stuff, because Wal-Mart does not have it, and it's the only thing open right now. =P

Darrin I want to say it's Enamel based because I used VHT High Temp Engine Clear Coat and had no problems with it.
All VHT is basically thinned out black paint, thats why when it dries it's extremely flat looking.

wow.
clear coat is exactly what the name implies...its a coat of clear stuff that you spray over paint (or material) to give it a desired finish. usually it gives you a glossy finish, but there are some that give a flat finish as well.
it is also used to protect the paint.
