ok so i got my system installed and it worked great really loud and alot of bass but when i drove down the street i was going about 30mph and my spedometer went from 30 all the way to 110 and then kept going everywhere inbetween. no matter what speed i was going everything would be fine but then it would do the same thing. Also the ABS light popped on and the airbag light started flashing. As soon as i got home i took everything out because i was scared lol. Everything from the system was hooked up correct and my ground was my - terminal on the battery. I was running 4 gauge as power and ground. 1000W 2 channel amp 2 Audiobahn dub200 subs. New battery, New alternator and everything had good connections. My car never did that before i installed the system. I installed it yesterday and thats when everything happened. Since i took it out i have had none of those problems.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Could be some weird grounding loops in the system somewhere to make the electrical go crazy. Never heard of this before.

did this happen only when you had you sub turned way up (or did it happen all the time with the system installed), It may be possible that there is a loose wire for your cars computer and you vibrating it loose when you have your subs turned up. i know on my car when i turn it on the air bag light flashes for a bit. so what ever controlles that might be loosing power and then getting it back thinking you restarted your car.

this happened to me, found out that the batery was just really dead and the alt couldnt provide a clean enough power supply to run everything, so once i charged the bat. everything was fine

i found out the radio and airbag popping on was because of a loose + terminal on the battery. the other problem was when it was loud

If you ran your ground back up to the battery...thats not correct.

indeeed, thats WAYYYYYYY TOOOOOO LONGGGGGG. just run the ground to a bolt under the back seat. shouldnt it be like less than 2 feet?

Actualy running back to the battery will work but.... your sq is going to suck, and that wire will get real hot real fast at loud lvls (had one of my brothers friends do it, his logic was that this way hes sure he has a good groud, he also nearly burned down his truck)
