I have a Panasonic HU that lights up blue. I want to change it so it lights up red. Does anybody have any experience with in dash recievers that would know if this is possible. I'm not sure what the light source is or anything so I don't know if it is even possible.
Thanks

Are you sure you can even change it? I thought most Panasonic decks were blue all the time. I would look in your manual.

I'm not sure if it is changeable. Thats why I'm asking around. I emailed panasonic but they haven't replied yet and the manual has nothing.

if its not a setting on the unit itself then a soldering iron and LED's are your friend..

If you want your panasonic to light up red....get a new deck (unless you want to rip itappart and attempt to swap the led on the face itsel..i'd highly suggest against that.)

Thats the worst part about adding an aftermarket deck into a pontiac...its hard to match the dash lights.

Sell it and get an Alpine CDA-9885! I am going to get mine pretty soon. You change these four buttons i think from red to blue and blue to red i think.

Yea I have the Clarion DXZ645mp and it changes about 9 preset colors and then tons of colors that can be set by choosing hues.

Hope you like difficult surface-mount soldering then.

x2. Took some research to locate a deck and aux gauges that match.
