So how bad is hard water for cleaning? I usually use the soft water hooked up in my dads garage, but haven't had a chance to go over there to clay bar my car. I'm thinking of doing it out here on the farm, but the nearest hookup is hard, cold water.
Also i remember a while back coupe had told me to claybar my windows, which is just crazy enough to work. But then i got to thinking, can i do my wheels too?

The only real problem with hardwater is the minerals. Usually it causes severe waterspots. I personally have to use Meguiars quick detailer on mine after I wash in order to remove the waterspots.

As far as claybarring... go wild. You can do just about everything with it (Aside from unpainted moldings).

Just don't let the hard water spots sit in the sun and bake. In my experience they tend to be worse if that happens.

My GA is covered in water spots again, they have etched into the clear, time to re-polish.........damn it.
