2.4 transmission swap..

I need to know if it is possible to swap from an auto to a manual transmission for my LD9 1998 grand am, I am thinking that the wiring may be different. PLZ HELP

Search button... I do recall seeing a thread about this. I think the guy who did it ended up with computer problems. Don't quote me on it, though. He did a write-up on how to do it.

Transmission bolts in but you will have to find the PCM from a manual.

Probably wouldn't be too hard to get the computer if the transmission's out of a jy car, little harder if it's from a transmission shop.

You will need the parts from a manual. The transmission mounts and stuff are different. Also, you will need the Interior console too, or a modified AT console to accomodate the shifter. Also, you would need to get the PCM and clutch pedal too, as well as a few other things.
