Hey guys, I have been thinking about getting the Blackout (Smoke) colored tail light covers for my 98 but I'm not sure on how they attach or how well they seal?

If anyone can help me with those questions it would be greatly appreciated. I tried searching a little on the forum and saw how they look on GA's but none of my questions were answered, haha.:D

They come with velcro to attach them with, they dont replace ur oem lenses they r just covers, and also keep in conideration if cops wanna b d*@#s in ur area they can give u a ticket for the smoke covers... Good luck and they do look awesome on red.
Peace,
Andrew

the covers are made by GTS not GTO :) plus blacking or smokeing ot tinting lenses(what ever you wanna call it) is lame-o IMHO

Yeah I know they are just covers and not lenses. I was either thinking of getting them or just getting those Bermuda Black euros which I have strongly been thinking about.

I guess I should check up MO laws then.

Damn website says GTO and then GTS, confuzziled me.

Thanks!

I was about to say,is this someone trying to go a GTO tail light conversion!? lol

Yea just 4 velcro pads that go on the tail light. Just don't use those self car washers! The soap they use seem to eat the glue on those. I lost a tail light cover once. I had wash my car now,lol

Ahhh, that was going to be my next question. How wash friendly are they? But you answered it, I only hand wash my car in my driveway, never anywhere else.

Should it be safe then, just using that TurtleWax Zip Wash and a "poofy cotton wash thingy"? I can't remember the name...

just clean the car with them off. I washed mine with them on and thats what caused it. The covers were holding stuff underneath.

If you get them just be careful to not get the velcro pads soaked wiht soap and water. You can always get new velcro so just don't put the covers on right away and go drive, which is what I did. If you let everything dry it should be fine

I have the smoked gts covers for both front and back. But I bought new headlights that are mucho brighter. So, now I just have the tails covered because it is a great look, I hate the look of the stock brake lights. I have had the same ones on for a whole year without removal and they have never fallen off. I only hand wash, or take it to a self washing place.
Here are some pictures to show how they look on my 98 se.

Thanks for the pictures Trev, they look awesome. :D

As for the GTO idea I would try that but the trunk region would require some molding for them to fit right since the come around the back of the car to the side a little.
