2.3 performance

Does anyone know if anyone makes any performance parts for a 2.3 DOHC??Cuz so far I've had to make all my own stuff.

Cold air intake - must make your own (only "warm-air" intakes are available)

Headers - the-race-shop.com had 2 types in development, but closed shop. Their supplier was talking about making them anyway... might want to search quad4forums.com for progress on that. Otherwise... you have 2 other options:
1. Hit the junkyard and find the larger exhaust manifold from a 90-92. (your 94 is tiny compared to this)
2. Mantapart sports-cast manifold and downpipe - basically the same early manifold, but with a ported collector and matching downpipe.

Cams - you already have HO cams. W41 cams are good for another 10 HP but will require a matching memcal PROM in order to raise the rev limit.

Nitrous - universal. Any kit meant for a fuel injected sport compact will work. (use a 'wet' kit, not dry) Will need the ability to retard ignition timing if using a decent sized shot... so MSD DIS-2 box required.

Turbo - custom, no turbo manifold exists. (the one meant for 95 2.3 J-body will not clear the steering rack)
Supercharger - I hacked the GMPP SC onto mine, but that's a major project full of cutting/grinding/fabrication.

Wow,thanx so much for your input!! I don't think the mainly stock 2.3 can handle to much nitrous.That is what I'm kinda leaning toward.I have somewhat of a cold air riged up,but am looking to get more out of her.

How much of a nitrous shot do you think it could handle?? With the MSD and everything?

There's no magic 'safe' number that I can give you. Once you can back off the ignition timing (the HO tune is fairly aggressive) a 50 shot should be fine. Again, this assumes enough fuel, which is why I recommend a wet shot or direct-port.

O,also,I'm going to Wyotech October 1st,and there supposed to be able to build a custom turbo for any car,just for the cost of parts!!
