Finally got a chance to Tint the tailights with the VHT niteshades (Thanx Josh for your tips). While I was at it, also decided to clay bar, polish and wax it. The pics don't do justice to the car as I suck at taking pics, and weather Gods did not help me either.
Let me know what you think

It appears that way because I did not tint the reverse lights in the taillights, so that it would give it a more stock look. Also like I said before, I suck at taking pics and just could not find the right angle to show the tint on the tails

Ya know what I think would look really sweet, brandon is his user name I believe, Im not sure if it was him that tinted his tails but someone tinted their tails here on the site and they came out nice and black, but my idea would be what if you put some tape in a nice pre cut form over the reverse light spot on the tail light then tinted the rest of the light as dark as you wanted... remove the tape and then go over the entire light in clear. I think that would have one sweet look to it, and then get some eurolite reverse bulbs for it..

Thanks man.. Just followed a lot of the tips that you have posted on this site in the past..
Products Used:
Mothers Clay Bar Kit
Meguiars #1 Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
Meguiars #2 Deep Crystal Polish
Mothers Carnuba Wax
It took me almost 12 hours over 2 days by hand... I have a new sense of appreciation for the detailing work you do and the results that you get.

That is basically what I did, but I didn't wanna go too dark for my own safety. Now I thought about brighter bulbs in there, but I am not very familiar with electrical work on the car and figured I might consider doing that down the road.

Thanks... I used the VHT Niteshades product to Tint the tails and then used the Dupli-Color Clear coat. There are a few very good How-to's floating around on this site, and if you have any specific questions feel free to send me a PM.

Hey, I was thinking about picking up that meguairs clay bar kit. What is that for any ways. I have a rough part on my bumper and I think that will take the roughness out of the paint like that right if I am correct, Thats what claying does? I am a die hard meguairs fan.

That's exactly what the clay bar does.. it helps remove contaminents from the painted surface.. so that when you go to polish and wax the surface is smooth and you don't scratch the surface further.

I love the car and the white overlays / inlays help set it off, Not something you see everyday.

Good job!
It is a very long process but in the end its totaly worth it. You will get faster and faster at it. You wont need to do this often either. If you do what you just did every spring your car will look great all year long. From here just wash it once a week and it will look great all summer.
Again, very refreshing to see someone do more than just wash and wax their vehicle. We have had alot of those threads lately
