Hi,
I've noticed a bunch of yellow dots (smallish) on my white grand am. Washing/scrubbing them reduced some, but I was wondering if there is a well known way to get rid of them and protect the car from them in future? (I suppose they are due to tree sap or such?)

Thanks

do you use a mr clean auto dry thing that hooks to a hose? i hated mine and it always made those kind of spots from whatever crap was in it and it was hard to get them off.

yellow or orange?

Sounds like Brake dust. The brake dust gets on the paint and kind of looks like small rust spots. I got them too. Just get some clay bar,get the stuff off. Use some wax then next time they get on there, some quick detail spray will help get the stuff off quicker

Ryan: yellow orangish. They look like small rust spots - 1cm diameter. I scrubbed them using regular carwash soap but did not help. Will try clay bar.

Sorry Coupe but just a few hours ago I used my favorite - Soft Scrub on the little spots on my trunk.

It really cleans the crap off a white car.

Yea sometimes white is hell. I get road grime spots from hell on the lower 1/3 of my doors and the ONLY thing that takes them off during a was is some good elbow grease.

could be industrial run off or brake dust from your car or passing cars, a good clay bar will remove it.
