Hey guys I installed Hushmat in my trunk and on my back deck today. The place I got it from swears by it and from the tests they had done and perform, it works better than Dynamat. Here are some pics...

On the trunk lid, this is where most of my rattling was coming from so I am hoping this solves the problem...

i too use Hushmat. i bought the door kit, and had enough left to do the trunk lid. i'd like to do the whole car, but it weighs so damn much. it wouldnt help my QM time.

Yeah, I still have quite a bit left and dont know where else to put it. I thought about doing the front doors and I probably will when I have the door panels off painting them.

Did it work out for the trunk lid? I am having the same rattling problems with the trunk lid.
Where did you guys buy it from?

my trunk lid never really rattled too much. but there is less vibration in it. and for my doors its a lot quiter going down the highway.
i got mine from TAS Electronics in Toledo Ohio. Mendoza, a member on this site, installed it for me.

It has helped a lot for the trunk lid, but I am having problems figuring out how to stop the rattle around the latch area where the trunk lid meets the rear bumper, it still rattles there a bit. I got my Hushmat from Midwest Audio in St. Joseph, Missouri. One of my friends is sponsored by them so I got it pretty cheap!

Thanks for the honest input and the quick replies. I think I will try it out but I believe mine rattles around the latch as well.:???:

I dont know how much it would cost if you were to go and buy enough Hushmat to do your trunk lid, maybe around $60-$80 if you applied it yourself. I got enought Hushmat to do the entire trunk lid, my back deck and enough to do ALL the side doors (4) for only $60, but like I said I am good friends with them and my friend is fully sponsored by them so I got it that way. I have some 1' x 1' sheets still, if you are interested send me a PM.

You can get 100 square feet of Fat Mat for $99. It's just another alternative to Dynamat. Personally I'd just go with the cheapest brand, unless you are seriously competing you probably won't notice much difference between the brands.
