... it will make it slightly louder but you will not get any great amount of performance increase being you have a GT ... in an SE, by removing it, you increase the ability to get air in SLIGHTLY since it is the ONLY inlet the engine has compared to the GT which as two (speaking or stock configurations only :D) ... in other words, with an SE, you might get a little more benefit but either way, nothing significant :)

Exhaust resonator? ... yeah, we are totally different end since I seen 'fender' and 'cai' in your comments  ... anyway, removing the exhaust resonator will certainly change the sound but you might not like it as it make it distinctly louder, IMO

I've got a CAI and no resonator..it's nothing crazy loud by any means but it does sound really nice to me. You get a bit deeper, more raspy tone and ocassional 'pops' which is kinda nice.

Well you will be getting a lil better exhaust flow, I never had mine dynoed before an after or anything, but it seemend like I could get up to speed a lil quicker people say its in my head, but like when i bought a pipe for my 450r they claimed with the core out you gain like nother hp or 2 and with it out it does seem to pull harder now i know that a fourwheeler so its much diffrent but I think that pretty much goes for everything I think youll notice itll pull a lil harder

Depends on how the chain around you does, they're franchises so it won't be the same from town to town. Check them out, maybe read up on all of them at the BBB site, get prices, etc.
