i have seen the writeup on gagt on how to bypass the monsoon amp, but what about the delco amp?
i have been searching frantically and can't find anything. i have gone through some major popping with one set of 6x9s and dont want this new set to go through the same thing.
i have been doing audio in both automotive and home since i was 16 and just cant figure this damned thing out...
just a schematic of the amp will work for me and i can figure it out from there

is the wiring not the same colors and number as the monsoon?
if you do do this, please take pics and make a post on here again so i can learn how to do this too!

okay, this is retardedly simple...
i did this today and felt there was no need for pictures.
the delco amp bypass on the 99 grand am is exactly the same wire and pin layout for the monsoon amp for the same sub-generation. the colors are all the same, and cut in half. the amp only runs the rear speakers!
the only two wires you dont need to worry about are the orange and black wires, they are the power and ground (respectivly) to the amp and those are the only two wires left in the harness. now i just have to get a real amp to run my rears off of.

so all i have to do is cut the rear speaker leads from the HU and attach those to the rear speaker outs and im set?

what i did, was go wire pair by wire pair and cut them from the stock amp harness and tapped them together at where I had cut them.
the only two wires that you don't need to worry about/shouldn't fool with are the black and orange wires, those are the power and ground for the amp.
once you make the connections needed, you can take the amp out and do with it as you please.
i tried getting on gagt, but the site seems to be down so i can't get you the wire colors now
