On a 1997 Grand Am SE V6 how do you attach a stant gauge to check for leaks in the radiator? Theres no real radiator cap, only that stupid plastic coolant tank lid, which doesn't appear to be capable of being attached to the stant gauge.
I am used the the standard, metal style goose neck radiator spout, not these new style plastic reservoirs.
Any help will be appreciated....

Ah, the good ole days :D :D
'Modern' cooling system pressure gauges come with about 6 different adapters to 'transition' the top of the system to an old-fashioned 'standard' test connector.
That's what you need, don't know where you'll get one.
A entire new kit with heavy-duty plastic adapters is $90 at Sears.
Mechanics break/loose these adapters, so the kit manufacturer undoubtably has a mail-order replacement service.
Sears isn't the maker, they just had their name put on somebody else's stuff.
Sorry, don't know who that would be.
Mebbe the local Snap-On truck has access to the adapater?
Good luck,
-Rick

Gonna take it to Firestone, they only want $24 to run the pressure test and they are next door to my work. They typically hook us up with deals so it sounds fair.
