I'm basically a newbie when it comes to upgrading cars.. I have a 2003 Crand Am with the 2.2 in it. I was wondering what type of power improvments I can expect from a CAI and a cat back exhaust, both alone and together? I understand it will not be a dramatic impovment, I just want to know what I can expect.
Thanks

With CAI you will gain between 8-10HP and with a Borla cat-back its a 7-10% hp increase, not sure how much hp the 2.2l have=\

You may get 10hp at the crank with the cai, but crank hp doens't mean a thing, whp does. You usually end up with a small increase with a cai alone, not enough to probably boost times alot, but you can usually feel it on the butt dyno. I'm thinking Borla means 7-10% of the original hp.

yeah my car seems to rev easier and faster now that i got the cai on. but go with a fenderwell one, not a under hood one. all those do is suck up hot air :)=bad
