I've been offered a GA basketcase 2.0 Turbo for $300 and was wondering what kind of levels it puts out?

I've done that with mine also when my nephew was saying that he could get 130 km/h in 3th with his Sunfire. When I dopped mine into 5th all he was saying was Holy Shit:D

does your spedo go up to 200 km/h like mine does?

and if so can it actually go that fast and does it stop there or can it go more.???

yuppers, mine goes to 200, but i didnt get it past there. With all the other cars i have owned, the speedo always goes past, but they only ever went to 140. So im not sure. IF i get another chance to go 200 km/h i will take it above and let you know, aswell as going that fast, yes it was, i was moving, and i know the car will go faster. If you work out what gears will do what, the car should go about 255. I might have to think this out again, but, 1st gear-60, 2nd gear-95, 3rd gear- 145, 4th gear- 200, 5th gear-__? Anyways, those are only aproximate numbers, when i get the engine going that fast, im more worried about the rpm rather than the speed. So anyways, when i find out, ill let you know. and i can go get some exact numbers with my buddy, up to 3rd gear.

Yeah these motors love the high rpms, I was dragging with a newer Thunderbird & a Honda Civic one nite on the TCH and I had mine over 200 and it was only revving a little over 5g's, and I the motor was all turbo, everytime I . Needless to say I kicked both their ass with power to spare:D

dont get to crazy now there going 200+ km/h is not to safe.

Do you know if it has a governer ? and if so what speed does it kick in at.

Im pretty sure 5th gear is like overdrive you can go a bit faster than 4th but to get a good pull from 5th you need to almost max out 4th at least thats how it was in my brothers firebird. maby not the same in our cars.

let me know about this one if im wrong.

I'm not sure if mine as a governer or not, if it does I'd love to know at what speed it kicks in at:D
Yeah I find if I'm maxing out turbo in 4th then 5th is all turbo their is no turbo lag at all, and with no turbo lag then you can get a whole lot of speed out of 5th. I've really only tried mine once at that speed and that was dragging with the cars I mentioned above. But I loved the way the motor performed at the high rpms, you could feel the power in under your foot, and that was when mine was totally stock!

I'm looking forward to when I get mine out of storage this spring and get the chip put into it. I have to get motor analazyed first and then I will find out if I can get the 30HP chip or the 50HP chip. I'm hoping for the 50HP though!

I'm also going to change my throttle body that was mentioned on that other ga board. I'm hoping that I will get close to the same results as Pontiac Jeff got! I went bad to print of that info yesterday but that whole board is changed and that thread isn't their anymore:(

Thats cool. So you state there that its maximum boost is 10 psi over barometric pressure. Do you know if thats the maximum the turba can do, or if thats the maximum the fuel can handle?

im not to sure if its the max boost the compressor can make or if its the max boost the fuel system can take.

maby someone else would know.

Hmmm, i hope someone else knows, if its the max the fuel an handle then i will totally up the boost pressure. Make some more horse. If it is the max the compressor can make, id also like to know how much the fuel can handle. Anyone have any clues? I emailed GM before about this subject and they told me to go to the local dealership, and they didnt know anything. Oh well.

if you contact pontiac you should be able to send them your vin # and for a price they can get you a compleat listing of all the parts and #'s on the car.

ok so i went to the dealer this morning, the guy in the service dept. told me that the computer runs on volts. So it keeps telling me my lights are out but they arent. So i might have the wrong bulb in there that will use different power than what is supposed to be in there, so thats why its going off. He also said that there is a module where all the wires come too. He said in the buicks he seen them melted down, so to check that module and clean the connections there. He didnt know where it was, but ill have a look when it stops raining. Thats all i have for now.

ya it is kinda funny but when the guy behind the counter swears on his life that the car does not exsist and he thinks hes right theres nothing you can do to get him to belive you that the car is real oh well when i get it working ill just drive it down there and drive thro there windows and say if the car did not exsist how can i drive it thro your store.

lol
