So it is with great upsetness that I say that I will also not be coming this weekend. While I could get the car together in time, I cannot get it tuned before I come up there. Running a higher compression motor now is enough to make it dangerous to run with my current tune, so I won't be coming. I have called and cancelled my hotel, but I don't want my $20 back... If you don't want to use it towards anything else you guys may need money for, go ahead and give it to the winner of best 96-98 ga as a prize from me :)

Chain notes - Gus blew his engine and had to install a new one.

I had a feeling that he might not make it when he was on our local board a couple of days ago.

Gus, how about packing up the daily driver and hanging out? It won't be the same without you running around with a rubber chicken hanging out of your pants.

i already cancelled my room, so i'd be crashin on someone... told matt i may do that on sat, but i guess friday would be the better day... i dunno... lot of other random shit going on in my life right now and just having 2 extra days to not have to work and just sit my ass the hell down for a minute would be nice too... albany's only 3 hours away so it's not like a huge trip for me... we shall see what happens over the next two days

This is why you should do your own work.. I plan on talking mad smack about you and your car unless you show up

Don't push it too hard on the trip, don't want to see you on the side of the road with the hood up.

As I said... between the revisions in compression, they aren't that significant of a change. Either way, I vote you start tuning yourself... I kinda question the quality of that first tune.

Either way... you should try to make it, at least for a day or 2 to hang out. :draft:

Oh... and get that pulley puller tool set to Jim! Me needs teh more boostage.

With wideband, I'm positive between me and Tim we could get it running right.

I do do all my own work fool... I PREFER to be dyno tuned as opposed to street tuned

I'm not saying i'm not coming, but i'm not saying I definitely am. I'd be showing up in my beat ass Nissan w/ winter tires... although I may go rent a vert for a day and drive out... just gotta find a place that rents convertibles... there is that hertz mustang I saw an add for... that would be fun

Either way, i'm droppin off the pulley puller to Tenspeed so at least matt can swap out his pulley on the charger

A dyno is nice, but a safe street tune is what you need, since that's how you drive the car.

Meh, beat Nissan or not... come drink some beer with us.

Sweet... thanks! I think parking lot mods/repairs are going to be a tradition for me.

Guess I have to bring a torch now?

Sweet98GA
07-11-2007, 10:42 AM
sure do... ure gonna need two torches actually

In any event, this is not a tune that's going to happen this weekend... I didn't go get the cam from Ronnie B out in syracuse, the motor is still completely torn down and we aren't doing anything about it til tomorrow and this weekend

i'm tryin to find a place to rent a convertible to come up for the day, but I can't seem to find one... any ideas? i tried to find the herts mustang, but couldnt find that either

Yea, and some gloves if you have em. I will do the same. 2 torches = easy/faster way.

Bring my ratchet crimpers too... I'll need that.
