How hard would it be to ditch the 'TWIN CAM' cover and put in a real aftermarket ignition box, coil and wires. I would like to do an MSD or ACCEL ignition in my 2000 GA 2.4

Why?!? Even the strongest import supporters will tell you GM makes a mighty strong ignition; and the coil over plug on the 2.3's and 2.4's works great and is very reliable. Take the money you would spend on ignition to somthing else to give it power, like a cam swap. In my opinion, getting an MSD box for this engine is a total waste of your time and money.

Okay if you want to upgrade your ignition..

here's what you do.. it's called MSD DIS-II that's all you need. If you want find the best freakin plugs you can think of, as well rksport sells replacement plug boots for around $25..

$350 for MSD DIS-II
$5 for plugs
$25 for Plug boot upgrade....

there ya go... most upgrade you can think of or even want for this car..
