So, in my 04 Grand Am SE I currently have the stock Monsoon system... Seems to sound good. In my room i have a Pioneer DEH-P780MP head unit and a Phoenix Gold R9.0:5 Octane-R 9.0:5 5-Channel Amplifier as well and I was wondering which would sound better? I also have an Infinity 1252W Reference series sub sitting in there as well.... So Monsoon or the Pioneer head unit with the amp/sub set up? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

--Edited--- Would I be able to hook up that sub to the standard Monsoon amp or change the stock amp with my 5 channel one?

If your going to install that 5 channel amp, you'll also need to replace the OEM speakers as well. OEM speakers typically won't hopd up to the abuse a much more powerful amp will putthem through. Also Monsoon speakers are not 4 ohms. Most aftermarket amps are capable of running "interior" speakers down to 2 ohms, but I definately wouldn't power anything OEM with an aftermarket amp.

If you don't want to go through all that, you can easily install the headunit and retain the OEM monsoon equipment.
