Yes its me again. Im sorry I know I have made quite a few posts about cai but this should be the last one. I have been looking at pep boys alot these days looking at the connectible pipes to make your own cai. One thing that I noticed is that on my 03 grand am, the space where my stock intake goes into my fender from the engine bay is very narrow and looks like like if I were to put a cai in it would have to either have to have real small piping right there or it would have to have kind of a rectangle shape to it like the stock tube to fit. All of the pipes I see at pep boys look to big. I guess what this post is really about is that I was hoping that some one out there that has the same model ga as me might have step by step instructions as to how to put a cai in my car. If some one could help it would mean a real lot to me. I dont care if it is a custom cai or otherwise.

It will fit, you don't need a diffrent size, but it's gotta be lined up PERFECT if your making your own out of their peices. might be cheaper to just get one from CRomeIntakes on ebay.

As for installation, really nothing to it. Pull the two censors from the tubing and unplug the maf connector, then unbolt the airbox and unclamp the stock hoses and take all that out. get it up with the drivers wheel off and take the side underbody splash guard / fender peice loose just by unbolting whats under the car and cutting the clips in the fender ( gotta buy new ones ). Pull this back behind the rotor to keep it out of your way and get all the stock tubing out. (don't trash it,keep incase you want to sell the car and swap your valuable stuff out for stock.

It's easy to clamp the new one in, no skill required just get everything lined up right. Only thing you prolly gotta do is unwrap some of the wiring to the sensors so they are long enough to reach the gromets / MAF.
