Alright, since I wasn't running my car, I can't post my time here to start things off. But everyone post up your best track times of Albany 2007 here. :)

15.285 @ 88.45
reaction time .436

Run 1: 1/4 @ 14.619 @ 89.63, Reaction: .942

Run 2: 1/4 @ 14.139 @ 94.92, Reaction: .824

Run 3: 1/4 @ 14.238 @ 94.29, Reaction: .738

Not too shabby for a bone stock 22 year old engine. My reaction time was horrible, if it were better I would of been in the 13's. Also had the "where's the end?" issue as did everyone. But my 1/8 times were amazing, I need more top end power.

Run 1: 1/4 @ 16.141 @ 84.42, Reaction: .543 Lane 2

Run 2: 1/4 @ 15.825 @ 84.98, Reaction: .398 Lane 1

Run 3: 1/4 @ 15.950 @ 85.55, Reaction: .393 Lane 1 (Win 0.102)

Run 4: 1/4 @ 15.976 @ 83.64, Reaction: .372 Lane 2

Not bad for a Stock GAGT with a drop in K&N and descreened MAF, This was my first time ever being on a drag strip so I think I did respectable times.

reaction time has nothing to do with e.t.

if i ran like i did but got off the line quicker, wouldn't my overall time be faster?

Edit: Ooohhhhhh.... I guess thats why i lost my second run, my overall time was faster but my reaction was more than the difference.

The printed E.T. is the amount of time it takes from when your front tires leave the starting beam to when your front tires cross the beam at the finish line. Not from the time the light turns green to the time you cross the finish line.

the reason you lost is when in bracket racing and running heads up the winner is the first person to the finish line. As far as actual E.T. goes if you run a 14.1 with a 3 second reaction time, you will run a 14.1 with a .010 reaction time.

Your times show you have no top end aswell, a low 14 second run with a 94 mph trap speed shows that the car has the grunt to get the car off the line, but doesn't have the power to keep it pulling hard.

I though I had an account on here dating back to 03 or early 04 but I guess not. Maybe I'm thinking N-Body or something.. I don't know anymore. Too many car forums!!

I don't even know why.. I don't even own a Grand Am or N-Body. My '73 is an F-body technically.

My times were somewhat embarrassing this year. 2.5-5 hours of sleep is not enough... I sucked at racing and goofed up every single run.

I'm not sure if I even kept my slips. I think that was actually my best run... 15.0 @ 85ish. It was the run where I fell for the random line painted at the 1000' mark and let off before the 1/4 trap.

I said last yellow. Not the green.

When my father was racing our Gremlin, it had 2.87's in the rear and was a dog off the line, so he'd floor it just before the last light came on and still got some slightly slow reaction times.

On the other end, it'd go through the trap at 87mph in 2nd gear, every time.

15.621 @ 83.11 (let of the gas before the second MPH trap)

Anyway, it was 'almost' the same as last year but this time, I was running regular gas and instead of being empty like I usually race, there was 3/4 of a tank :( ... car pulls much better than it ever has, thanks Tim :)

That's a very decent ET for a Grand-AM with no performance upgrades. (And 3/4 tank!)

Great job with the tuning Tim!

... there are 'some' upgrades so it certainly isn't stock :)

Jason's on the other had, IS STOCK :) ... good running car!!! :)
