3rd brake light decal

Has anyone ever applied one of these, I put it on about 4 years ago with a blow dryer and it looked really nice for about 2 years. Now it's cracking, flaking and the light below it looks like crap. If anyone has any idea how to remove it, please let me know. Otherwise I will just go pick up a new 3rd brake light.

Again I will say, ignore the damage to my car. I really need to get better pictures other than ones of it involved in an accident.

Open the trunk, remove two nuts and take the light out. Unplug the wires and you can pick away at the old vinyl on the workbench.

it should peel right off.

It's flaking off, not so much peeling, and all the glue is still on the light.

Try heating it up and using goo-gone (or simple green, or WD40, or anything like that) and scraping it off.

Okay cool, I'll try the WD40 since I have it under the sink.

ok so I took it off and cleaned it with WD40 and a butter knive. I didn't know what else to scrape it with. Anyhow it looks good now, it has a little bit of gum left on it from the sticker, but you have to look REAL hard.
