A "LOT" of people have had their mirrors knocked off at an automatic wash. Most places will just warn you that they are not responsible for the mirrors if they break and will proceed with the wash. So it is up to you if you want to take that risk

just take a couple hours out of your day on the weekend, wash it yourself, and if your girlfriend feels that you should be with her instead, tell her to come help you, thats what i tell my girlfriend, if she wants to she comes help and spends time with me, if not, she sits at home and i clean my car, its not a hard decision, but if they tell you to not go in, dont, keep your nice mirrors, unless you would want to trade mirrors, i can take your dual post and you can take my regulars

like what i mean is lately my job (i work part-time) gives me 8 hour days and i have no sunlite when i get home and plus im exhausted, and on the days i do have off, my girlfriend always wants to hang out with me, but if me and my mom dont go to Gettysburg this weekend then ill see if my girl wants to help me wash it. ive also never waxed a car, and am leniant on washing my car b/c my mom got me a hand microfiber wash thing from wallyworld and it scratched the hell out of my hood, so im always scared of microfiber things (and i didnt really press at all, and it was wet). but last time i used a reagular car wash sponge and it seemed fine.
now im gunna try waxing, yay. a whole new adventure.
but another question, at what point do u buff to get the light scratches out? when it is hazing, or when u wipe it off? id think if u buffed when it was off it would scratch it to hell? thanks

You must of had some small pebbles or dirt or something stuck in the cloth. Theres no way micro fiber would ever do that alone. I don't care how hard or soft you press. I only use Micro fiber on my car and I never had any problems with it. Keep you washing materials off the ground.

Heres an idea.. If you're exhausted, have your girlfriend do it.
Crack a pepsi (Or other soft-drink of choice) and watch. ;)
(If you still want to run it through a wash to just get it somewhat better than it was (If you don't have time), go through the touchless ones that do not physically touch your vehicle. I personally use the one at Sheetz, it basically is a pressure wash. Not great, but its better than nothing. Btw, I'm assuming you have a Sheetz somewhere nearby... they're EVERYWHERE in PA. )

I have been using the Mr Clean for a year now and have never had any problems with any yellow spots or anything left on the car at all and I wash my car three times a week. But I have heard of some pretty messed up stuff happening if you don't get all of the soap off the car before you put the pure water on top

Exactly, you have to treat all your MF towels and ANYTHING that touches your paint as though they are steril medical equipment. Always inspect anything that touches your paint before you touch your paint.

wow...
At the most I have washed it twice... but it gets it at LEAST once.
I don't go through the drive washes anymore. I think the guy that pre cleans it abused it more than the dumb machine.
