Hey i'm just wondering what type of borla exhaust would be good for a 98 Grand Am V6 3100. i heard one on Streetfire.net and it sounded pretty good but they never tell you if its the resonator, cat and muffler or whats all on it and why type of borla just wondering if anyone has any good ideas. well let me know i'm just looking for a nice sound nothing REALLY loud.

Just get the universal Borla mufflers for your 98 have a shop fabricate the cat-back piping. The ProXS series is perfect for your app... I'm using 2 of them, both offset input/center out (and they are reversible)

are you running true duals on a quad 4?

I am planning on doing my exhaust. Would the ProXS be good or are Flowmaster 40's better? Just wondering.

No. Dual mufflers with a Y-pipe from the axle-back. Same arrangement as the stock 95-98 GT exhaust system (but 2 matching mufflers unlike the mini-muffler on the passenger side of that stock exhaust)

Both will sound great on a V6. I have a personal preference for Borla, they hold up well in the long term. I've seen some rusty Flows that are newer than my Borla's.
