Ill be in Tarrytown, NY from Aug 12-24

I will be there for training. anyone know what there is to do on the weekend? itll be Aug 18,19 that ill be roaming around looking for something to do. I dont know whats around Tarrytown or what there is to do, I assume its an industrial or business area but will I be able to go into the city or will I be far?

anyone wanna come out and have a meet there?

Dave you'll be less then 15-20 minuets from my house. NYC is not far at all. You can grab the train right in Tarrytown and take it into Grand Central Station(42nd Street.) If you want to meet up and have dinner/go to a bar or something let me know I'm down.

cool im looking forward to that. so whats tarrytown like? i assume a boring business area. and do you know where the Siemens facility is? i believe it used to say Bayer but was recently changed when my division went over the Siemens.

I know you said that your first day in will be the 12th, but Thats the day of our car show and I know a bunch of the ECM guys are coming down. Maybe you could make an appearance.

Its a nice area, Kinda upper Middle Class people I guess you could say. I wouldn't say that its a business area, its more residential then anything. They have a real nice water front that I use from time to time to go fishing. I honestly have no clue where the Siemens factory is. I'm not that familiar with Tarrytown to be honest. I know a few key spots but thats about it. What road is it on? I'm going to assume White Plains Road cause that pretty much where everything is up there. Oh, and where are you staying? I know theres a few Hotels in that area, wondering witch one you would be at.
