If you take it through some super-high-pressure washes, it could.

You probably shouldn't use carwashes too much anyways with the dual post mirrors.

Both auto washes and vinyl racing stripes are a mistake. Avoid both for maximum car enjoyment.

i had racing stripes for 2 years... i ordered them from customgrandam.com and never had any issues w/ them peeling, bubbling, or coming off when going threw a car wash...but then again 7 out of 10 times i would wash the car myself...

That would depend on what kind of stripe material it is, how well it was installed, how harsh the car wash is, how many times washed and how old the stripes are. Not really a true/false kind of question.

I would think a good paint job of the stripes would be around $1,000.

like i said.. i had mine for 2 years without any bubbling... if you want to peel it off... you can use a blow dryer, warm it up..and slowly peel

I've worked with vinyl graphics for over nine years now and installed many stripes and other graphics on cars. A car wash won't make them peel no matter how many times you take it threw. 3M and Avery are excellent vinyl manufacturers, ask what brand of vinyl it is before you buy it.
