I got some free door speakers with my new head unit, they're better than stock, not fancy ones, brand name (pioneer) but anyways, I want to put them in.

How do I get the stupid window crank off so I can get the whole door panel off (I know about that tool, my friend has a family auto glass shop & they have one, but he's out of town and I want to do it now!), I am impatient, I want to get them in now :D.

Just let me know, it's the crank thing on manual windows, I know I need to hit that "U" shaped thing, but with what? Thanks.

See if you can rent a tool from a local parts place...

Some people use a rag.

That's right! you slide the rag up under the crank and shimmy it up on either side until it pops, watch out though, they have a tendancy to fly straight fo' yo' face!!

I found the tool at auto zone for 4.99$

The speakers are odd shaped, can I squeeze round ones in there.

I fit 6.5 inch speakers in my doors. If they aren't any bigger they'll fit

BTW, I had to make custom mounts for them out of plexiglass.

I've fitted 6.5" components in the front doors, 4x6 were just too small. I had to make mount for them from plywood! :D

BiH, could you make me a diagram of what the plywood would need to look like to fit the 6.5's in there, cuz my 6x4's suck balls

ok, first, they are weird shaped because they are 4x6's. Second, it is possible to fit 6.5's in ther or also 5.25's like me. With the 5 and a quarters, you dont have to make a new mount.
