So for those of you that don't know, here's how it went down:

i'm runnin 2.6" pulley pushing 9.5psi tuned WITH methanol. I was racing a mustang GT (4.6l) and actually winning... top of third, full boost... all the sudden nothing... That's when I realized that I ran out of meth cause I didn't think to fill it before I took off in the morning... BUT It's still runnin enough that I can get it back to a friends house... had it towed home, will NOT turn over

Tear this motor out, get a 2000 2.4 and start going to town. We finally get the shitty motor out and each piston has marks of detonation on them, and the crank will BARELY spin, even with an impact wrench on it

SOOOO here's whats going down:

Today I got my cams for the secret cam swap. Two weeks ago the head was milled .007 over, and the flywheel was resurfaced. I got a new head gasket to go on, my water pump from the shitty motor since it's a lot newer than the one that is on the newer motor, new timing chain cover gaskets (hella thick rubber ones) and a spec stage 2 clutch. For now I am going to put it all back together and hope it runs and the cams don't give me any problem with the tune. Having said that, the car will be going to get retuned WITHOUT meth, although I am still going to spray the charger with it, I don't want it tuned so that way if I run out again, I won't lean out and blow this motor up

So that's where I'm at, and I should have the car running again by this weekend. Then next Friday it goes for it's retune, and I again will be out on the streets tearin it up... with my 19's LOL

dude that sucks! its stuff like that that makes me never want to tune for meth (or nos) -- just a spray or fogger setup is good enough for the street.

Im glad you got a new engine though and you're getting it sorted out rather quickly.

More heavily tuned/blown twinnys ftw.
