down by the brake pedal

Nothing you can really check though.

it just seemed weird that it did that, i never asked the dealer when i bought it what it had on it... i was dumb and 16 and said "it looks sweet!"

they make performance PCMs tho that make it shift faster and a few other things either MP Racing or MMS has em

PCM is constantly learning... drive crazy and it will learn crazy.. drive like grandma and it will want to drive like grandma does...

The computer basically takes a reading of your RPM and throttle and then adjusts to meet what it normally sees on that within a certain amount of time. If you drive like you stole it, your PCM will usually help you do that... but if you drive slow, again, it'll adjust and help you stay within your normal driving.

Its not like those old cars where you held it to the floor, it jumped reguardless of how you drove normally.

This is to an extent of course. Its not like it will supply more/less fuel or anything like that.

Im more of an old school EFI guy so im not really up on the new stuff but I dont see the computers of today even changing the fuel/timing tables to support your driving habit.
