The ContiExtremeContact is currently the number 1 rated tire in the Ultra-Performance All-Season category on TireRack at this time. At some point in the future they will be on my car.

They are rated #1 but there aren't a lot f reviews on them. I'm gonna wait a bit before buying them just to make sure iot's not a fluke.
It's also a very new tire design, long-term data isn't readily available.
It does look very promising though. Only downside for me is that I'll prolly have to drive down to the U.S to get them. The exchange rate right now makes it more appealing though :D

Check out the Dunlop SP Sport A2. I've had these tires for 45k miles. They're very good. I looked at the Continentals for the next replacement but the Dunlops have a higher tread wear rating and I know they are a great tire. All 4 shipped cost about $402 US.
They are HR (130 mph) rated as apposed to VR (149 mph) rating, but do you really need a V or Z rated tire?

I've heard the Continentals are good, but dont last very long. I just put some Bridgestone Potenza RE-950's on my car, and they are very nice tires....I think anything would be better than the factory issue Goodyear Eagle RS/As. My Bridgestones are much quiter on the road, ride slightly better, but handle rain MUCH better. They look more aggressive than the Goodyears too. I got them through Tirerack.com. Theres alot of good info there if you read the reviews about different brand tires and compare them to your needs. I dont drive like a maniac (I'm usually pretty easy on my GA) but its fun to blast around an on-ramp or race someone from a stoplight once in awhile! I'm not an avid street racer, but if I see a ricer revving up and taking off like crazy from a red light, its fun to waste him with my 4-door "family" car at barely 3/4 throttle....good times!!

If you get the Conti's let me know how you like them. I'm looking at them possibly for my Camaro. They don't make the Dunlop SP A2 in 17".

I've got the Dunlop Sp A2's and im on my second set already. They are great around turns and in the rain but they seem to wear very fast. My first set only lasted me like 20000 miles, and i didn't ever burn out with them. so if your looking for performance go with the SP A2 but from personal experience tires are too expensive to relplace every 20000 miles.

continental are not the best tires but there not the worst i would rate them to like a BFgoodrich. if u want a good tire i would go with Kumo, Goodyear or Dunlop.

i like BFG. KD/KDW for dry or wet traction, i have Comp T/As on mine right now and they're great all around.
nittos drag radial is very good too.
all these are for summer only tho. so if you have a set of steelies with winter rubber then the above are good choices for summer
