Engine year?

I just got an engine and the guy said it had about 80k miles on it, but I forgot to ask what year of car it came out of. I tried looking on the LIM to see if there was a 99 or 03 stamped on it like in my other cars, but there is nothing. Are there any other identification marks that would tell me the year?

i think on my car, but cant say for sure, on the valve covers should say something. mine is a 2000 and says 00

Yeah that is what I was talking about with the 99 or 03 it is stamped on the Intake manifold I belive, but this one has nothing.

call the guy up and ask him what year it is

I can't get a hold of him now. Are there any id numbers on the block or anything other than what is supposed to be on the LIM?
