My car is covered with small dents, looks like the previous owner used a hard object to chip off ice or something. Do those dent removers advertised do anything or can anyone suggest a way to fix this?

Find a PDR guy in your area, ussually pretty cheap.

I work at a place that does pantless dent removal.
It would be a great way to get all your dents out without recking your factory paint. If you have any questions just ask. Im sure there are plenty of dent guys in your area.

Can you explain how it works and what type of dents can be removed?..and possibly a price? (This is me being lazy, not calling locally).

Actually it's really easy for them... All they do is kind of massage the dents out with rods and metal shaping tools by getting behind the dent through the panels. The cost to repair the dents usually depends on how easy access is, and the size.
A dent that is usually the size of a quarter is around $75
The bigger the dent, the more expensive the fix will be.
Yes this does get expensive but it is by far the most convenient.
