EDIT:
This Resistor should be checked for replacement if your A/C, Climate Control, Heater, Fan Speed is operating improperly. The climate control unit has 5 fan speeds, the Resistor regulates the Blower Motor's speed on speeds 1-4 with level 5 Not being wired through the resistor. If you're blower motor operates on speed 5 the blower motor is operating fine. For speeds 1-4, if one or more of the fan speeds do not operate then the resistor may be bad. Other causes for incorrect operation could be a bad climate control switch, blown fuse, or corrosion on the resistor/harness contacts.
